Information on the English Version of this Website

Stop G7 Elmau — Sun, 29 May 2022 20:28:41 +0000

The Stop G7 Elmau website is available in German and English, just use the Language Selection link at the top of the right hand column to switch. While most of the fixed pages (reachable through the navigation menu) are present in both languages, most of the blog posts in the “News” section have not been translated into English. In order to read them you can switch to “Deutsch” and copy/paste them into an online translation service like DeepL. We apologize for the inconvenience!

First preparatory meeting for the actions against G7 2022

Stop G7 Elmau — Sun, 06 Mar 2022 22:12:00 +0000

After several online meetings, representatives of the groups mobilizing for the protests against the G7 Summit 2022 met “live” for the first time in Munich’s EineWeltHaus on March 6, 2022. In a full-day alternation between plenary and group work, we have both developed positions on various topics and established organizational groups for camp, large-scale demos, decentralized actions, etc. A joint mobilization call is in the works and will be published here later this month.

Relaunch of the Stop G7 Elmau website

Stop G7 Elmau — Tue, 01 Mar 2022 21:46:00 +0000

This website originally was the information and networking platform for the actions against the 2015 G7 Summit in Elmau. In summer 2016 we froze the site, but kept it available as a documentation of our activities. Now that the 2022 G7 Summit will once again take place at Schloss Elmau, we will reactivate the site later this month to provide a central platform for the protests once again.

The new version of the website is still under construction, but we will continuously publish up-to-date information. The 2015 posts are still available below for documentation purposes.

Press Conference Wednesday, May 27, 2015

Stop G7 Elmau — Sat, 23 May 2015 16:40:41 +0000

Invitation to Press Conference
Wednesday, May 27, 2015 by 11 clock in the One-World -House
Schwanthalerstrasse 80 , Munich, Germany

Dear Madam or Sir,

the G7 summit is only two weeks away from now. During the five days of our
planed protests against the summit and it’s policies people from Germany as
well as activists from all parts of the world will be joining us.

Prior to the demonstrations authorities, municipalities and police are trying
to evoke fear amongst the citizens of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Any means seem right
to limit the demonstrations.

Therefore we kindly invite you to the our press conference with
representatives of our alliance against the G7 on Wednesday, May 27th, 11.00 AM.

We will inform you about the current developments concerning protest camps and the
demonstrations, the goals of our protests and the protest actions. We will of
course address your questions as well.
